Foi a primeira publicação a nível mundial, bilingue, onde é apresentada a valorização do livro antigo de autores portugueses e estrangeiros com publicações de interesse para Portugal. Contém também a mais completa biografia dos mesmos autores, alguma vez publicada.
O Valor do Livro Antigo em Portugal seria publicado em vários volumes, cada um dos quais abordaria primeiramente um século. A selecção dos autores incluídos nos diversos volumes tinha como critério base os livros e manuscritos leiloados em Portugal desde 1990 até aos nossos dias. O aparecimento de um autor em cuja primeira edição do seu primeiro livro tenha sido publicado num determinado século, faz com que a informação relativa a todos os seus livros leiloados e a biobibliografia do mesmo seja inserida no volume correspondente a esse século.
Infelizmente foi publicado apenas o Volume I, embora o Volume II já estivesse pronto para ir para os prelos (como se pode inferir do texto acima referido).

It was the first publication in the world, bilingual, which presents the appreciation of the old book by Portuguese and foreign authors with publications of interest to Portugal. It also contains the most complete biography of the same authors, ever published.
The Value of the Old Book in Portugal would be published in several volumes, each of which would first address a century. The selection of authors included in the different volumes was based on books and manuscripts auctioned in Portugal from 1990 to the present. The appearance of an author in whose first edition of his first book was published in a certain century, makes the information related to all his books auctioned and his bio-bibliography to be inserted in the volume corresponding to that century.
Unfortunately, only Volume I was published, although Volume II was already ready to go to press (as can be inferred from the text above).
